Your account and data
Using RightNow without an account, creating one, signing in and out, exporting your data and deleting your account.
Without an account
You don’t need an account. RightNow sets you up as a guest automatically, and your profile shows Guest Account.
Create an account or sign in
Accounts use an email address and password.
- New account: from the sign-in screen tap Sign up, or tap Create an Account in Account Settings. Then tap Sign Up.
- Sign in: enter your email and password and tap Sign In. If you’ve forgotten it, tap Forgot password?.
- Not now: tap Skip for now to carry on as a guest.
Premium
Premium adds cloud sync, so your tasks stay in step across your devices. Upgrade from Account Settings → Subscription. On the web, payment goes through Stripe; on a phone, through the App Store or Google Play.
Sign out
Account Settings → Sign Out. You’re returned to being a guest.
Export your data
Account Settings → Export My Data, then choose JSON (everything) or CSV (a spreadsheet of your tasks). It opens your device’s share sheet. If sharing isn’t available, the export is copied to your clipboard instead. Deleted tasks aren’t included.
Import tasks
Account Settings → Import Tasks adds tasks from a file. Nothing already in your list is changed or removed.
Automatic backup (Android)
On Android, Automatic Backup saves a copy of your tasks to a folder you choose, at most about once a day. It keeps the latest five. Back up now makes one straight away, and Change folder moves where they go.
Delete your account
Account Settings → Delete Account. It takes three steps:
- Read what will be removed.
- Type
DELETEto confirm. - Enter your password.
You need to be online. Everything is removed from RightNow’s servers and from the device, and it can’t be undone, so export your data first if you want a copy.
Deleting asks for your password, so it only works for email accounts at the moment. If you’re a guest and want your data removed, email me.
There’s more on what’s deleted on the delete account page.
